Mr Haron was appointed to the Connective Board of Directors in 2006, having previously been the CEO at rival aggregator FAST prior to this appointment. Based in Sydney, it was Mark's appointment that allowed Connective to grow across the business significantly through the recruitment of brokers.

Mark brings with him a wealth of knowledge across all aspects of mortgage broking and lending. His vast experience and expertise spans operations, sales and relationship management. Connective Principals are active advocates of the industry bodies MFAA and FBAA, with Mr Haron currently sitting on the MFAA National Aggregator Committee, having served on the NSW Council and various committees over the past 12 years.

Mark is currently Deputy Chair of the Combined Industry Forum, an industry group guiding and implementing reforms to improve customer outcomes throughout the industry.  Mark’s vision for the future of the industry strongly influences the direction that Connective takes in its dealings with broker members and lender partners.

Mike Felton joined the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) as Chief Executive Officer in 2016.

Mike brings over 30 years’ experience in financial services to the role, having held diverse senior roles in financial markets, treasury, auto and asset finance, and project management.

Over the course of his career, Mike has pursued broad-focus roles in high-change environments in Australia and overseas, in which he has developed and implemented strategies to drive organisational change.

Mike began his career in financial markets working for Standard Bank Ltd, where he held various positions, culminating in the role of Head of Inter-Bank Foreign Exchange Trading.

He joined RMB Australia in 1996, where he spent 16 years, initially as Head of Treasury, before transitioning to the role of Chief Operating Officer of a related company, MotorOne Finance. In this role, he was responsible for credit, operations, risk, compliance and treasury.

His more recent roles include General Manager  – Pepper Auto Finance and Chief  Operating Officer – Pepper Asset Finance. Mike was also a member of the Pepper   Executive Team. Prior to joining MFAA, Mike was working with FlexiGroup as a Consultant Program Director, delivering a number of key projects for the company.

He lives in Sydney with his wife and three children.

Mike holds a Master Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.

A strong and passionate advocate for industry, Peter spends a large amount of time with regulators and government lobbying on behalf of industry, as well as being a Registered Lobbyist in his own right.

He also sits on the Small Business Association of Australia's Advisory Board, is the Global Chairman of the International Mortgage Brokers Federation, is a champion and campaigner for Parents of Special Needs Children through his charity The Sanity Space Foundation, and is the leading advocate for Mental Health Awareness in our finance industry.
